Andressa was able to get away from the abuse due to Andressa's foster grandmother caught the perpetrators in the act. Andressa went back to stay at home with her mom, who didn't even know the fact that Andressa had suffered any sexual abuse until she wrote her book. Andressa said that prior to when she underwent a spiritual transformation, it was difficult to accept the forgiveness of her the abuser. When I was faced with one of my most difficult decisions, I called my abuser who assaulted me sexually. It was not an easy thing to take. Even though I wasn't in any way guilty, I sought his forgiveness over the telephone after many prayer vows. No, I asked forgiveness, without even justifying myself. In an interview with Globo Mariste Urach tells how she was reacted after finding out about the abuse suffered by her son.
